One of the things that motivates us is Innovation.
Innovation is what led us to offer a service that has a Re-use element to it, preventing perfectly good timber from being processed into biomass. Making it available for the general public to get creative with.
Processing waste timber into biomass was innovative at the time, when most waste timber was being sent to landfill and being left to rot and create greenhouse gases.
Looking ahead to 2019, we are hoping our next project will be equally innovative – a Community Laundry.
We want to set up a laundry servce to help Hospice (and other Organisations involved with end-of-life care) reduce their costs and make more money available for the care element of their service.
We intend to install a Wood Burner that will generate hot water for the washing service and hot air for the drying room.
Our clean waste timber will be used to power the service and also reduce our processing costs.
A Renewable Heat Incentive payment will help reduce the running cost of the project too.
