The UN Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.

We have measured our Project against relevant SDG’s in order to demonstrate the steps we have taken to improve Sustainability and Wellbeing in our environment.

3. Good Health & Wellbeing. We provide a safe space for our Pericles students to help them achieve meaningful work activities. They grow fruit and vegetables which ensure they take home healthy food to eat.

8. Decent work & Economic Growth. Our staff are paid the National Living Wage, we cover the cost of their safety footwear, ensure money is available for zero-interest loans (if required) and give additional holiday for Birthdays. We ensure safe work practicies through our Health & Safety policies. We improve resource efficiency through our Re-use initiatives and achieve sustainable levels of growth through our diversification and innovation.

9. Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure. We rescued over 1500 tonnes of ‘waste’ timber in 2018 from Manufacturing and Construction industries. 300 tonnes of this was re-used as timber or turned into useable products for the home. A further 100 tonnes was used as low grade timber for garden projects. Donations of timber to community projects is another way of ensuring as much timber as possible is reused.
