April 2020

A strange blog for strange times.

With the advent of the COVID-19 virus the commercial world, as we knew it, has changed rapidly.

From an operational viewpoint we have been greatly affected. Our business model relies on other companies supplying waste timber for us to collect and process. With the majority of manufacturing and construction companies now closed, we too have had to close for the forseeable future.

Our retail business is closed too (unfortunate when everybody has time on their hands to complete their DIY projects) in order to ensure the wellbeing of our staff and customers.

Our staff have been furloughed and we will be paying the additional 20% with the Govt. 80% to ensure they do not suffer a fall in salary.

Our operational costs have been reduced somewhat. We are paying a reduced rent for our business premises on the understanding that we make up the shortfall when business resumes. Our motor insurance continues although we will SORN our vehicles for the time being.

We will post on Social Media when we are back up and running. Watch this space!
