Our Policy
Mid Sussex Wood Recycling Project (MSWRP) is committed to enhancing the local environment. The project recognises the importance in ensuring it incorporates environmental and sustainability issues into its services and activities, and leads by example to its customers.
Working in partnership is fundamental to these environmental aims, and the MSWRP works with local communities to help improve the quality of the environment for residents and businesses in the area. It provides the opportunity for businesses, the public, District Councils and other interested groups to make their own contribution to achieving a sustainable and improved quality of life.
- We provide signed Waste Transfer Notes and invoice you monthly.
- We provide annual recycling figures for inclusion in your Corporate Social Responsibility information
We are committed to continual improvement in our environmental performance, and minimising adverse environmental impacts.
We demonstrate our commitment by:
- Reviewing and understanding the range of environmental impacts arising from our activities
- Ensuring that we comply with and, where possible, exceed all applicable UK and European environmental legislation
- Setting environmental objectives and targets and defining the means of achieving them to improve our environmental management and performance
- Reducing energy and resource consumption by implementing effective and efficient reduction methods consistent with best practice
- Influencing and managing our suppliers and contractors to ensure that goods procured and services undertaken comply with our environmental policy
- Minimising the generation of waste and implementing other recycling initiatives
- Ensuring that the policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels within the organisation and is supported by suitable education and training
- Openly communicating our progress towards addressing environmental impacts to interested parties
- Periodically reviewing the policy to take account of changes in organisation, legislation, government targets or other factors
